I was raised in the South... so Country Music has ALWAYS been a part of my life...

But I really fell in LOVE with this art form when I first saw Shania Twain!

This was NOT my Mothers Country Music!

I watched CMT for 2 days...by the end of that 48 hours... I knew Country Music was my new home.
 
The songs were heartwarming, uplifting and clean enough to let your children listen. 
​
I immediately began the journey toward my goals...I got a band together and started playing Country Music Festivals, all across the country...then I packed up everything and moved to Nashville!   
I figured if a guy from Australia could sing it... surely a US Military Veteran could too!
 
After 6 years of hard work, Decca Nashville Records put me in the position to become the FIRST ("real") African American Female to sign with a Major Country Label.   
 
Unfortunately, directly after I cut my album the record label folded.
